about the album: LIGHT PARTICLES
"Joyous Love Manifesting"
At the invitation of Jyoti Verhoeff, I recorded a number of improvisations in 2022, of which the album 'Light Particles' is now online on Spotify, Apple music, Dezer, etc.
The improvisations were recorded in Jyoti Verhoeff's Little Chapel Studio.
Everything was recorded on a 'prepared' piano, which had been edited in a different way by Jyoti. The noises of the old mechanism became part of what wanted to be expressed.
Michiel: 'My music is expressed from my inner source. It is an expression of the silence within myself. I have become aware of that silence, among other things, through the beautiful work of Oraclegirl. Jyoti and I both feel very touched by that. When I am with Jyoti, making music comes naturally. Light Particles was recorded in one take and flowed into the ether.'
CRYSTAL SPIRAL TUNING
In 2003 and 2004 I made 5 CDs in the Crystal Spiral Tuning. I recorded the double CD 'Mindwalks', also in the Crystal Spiral Tuning, together with my friend Frans Smit, on two Erard grand pianos in the Maison Erard.
